International Auto Center Body Shop accepts all car insurance and helps you through the whole claim process in Santa Clara. California law lets you choose your repair shop, so you can bring your car here even if your insurer suggested another shop.
You choose the shop
California Insurance Code section 758.5 and the Auto Body Repair Consumer Bill of Rights give you the right to select the shop that repairs covered damage. An insurer may suggest a facility, but it cannot require one. If you were told otherwise, you can call us and we will explain how the process works.
What we do with your insurer
We write an estimate, send it to your adjuster, and handle supplements when additional damage appears after disassembly. We do not make coverage decisions. Your insurer does. We make sure the repair plan is documented so there are fewer surprises.
Estimate first, claim second
Many drivers compare the estimate with their deductible before calling their insurer. An estimate does not commit you to a claim. It gives you the number you need to decide.
Parts choices
California's Consumer Bill of Rights also says you have the right to be informed about the use of new original equipment parts, new aftermarket crash parts and used crash parts. Ask which will be used and what the policy allows, and we will explain the options.
Documents to have ready
Bring your claim number if you have one, your insurance card, your driver's license, and photos of the damage and scene. If another driver was at fault, bring their information. If you are not sure whether to file, call (408) 243-2530 and we will talk it through.
